Norfolkline Will Continue Rosyth-Zeebrugge Service in Spring 2009

Norfolkline are pleased to announce that we will revive the Rosyth-Zeebrugge route, with a service scheduled to start in Spring, 2009.

Our plan is to run a service with 3 departures from each port every week. It will be a passenger and freight service using a new vessel.

I agree definatley good news.

Was this boat designed especially for Norfolkline, or is it designed for a chartere and then hired out (like the current LD Lines vessel Norman Voyager). If it was designed for Norfolkline, maybe it will have some features from their Dover-Dunkerque trio?

I  agree also it's great news for Scotland and Europe.

I think the way Norfolkline have worded their statement, the boat is specially designed for them.
regards Glencairn :-) :pint:

Hi,

I suspect it's going to look a bit like the Norman Voyager which will be delivered to LD Lines very shortly. Just the interiors will be a bit different I think. I certainly hope their service onboard is as good as it was with Superfast.

There were some reports on Ferries of Northern Europe that the ship was very fuel efficient so maybe they'll be able to keep the service running with lower costs.

Regards
Cedric
