QUEEN MARY 2 - drydocking in Hamburg

Dear all,

German internet news "Spiegel Online" reports today, that Cunard's QUEEN MARY 2 will be drydocking at Blohm & Voss shipyard in Hamburg as from Nov. 8th up to Nov. 19th for normal maintenance.

Competitors like Alstom (France), Masa Kvaerner (Finland) and Fincantieri (Italy) lost this important biz.

I was informed by some members of the crew that whilst in dock the 'Winter Gardens' would be removed to enlarge the Kings Court restaurant. Did this take place?
