Supply Ship and Anchor Handler models
« on: July 23, 2008, 03:28:04 PM »
Hello, I was just wondering if there is such a thing as plastic kit models of the newer supply ships or anchor handlers?.  The kind of vessels I was thinking of are the Olympic Hercules and Bourbon Mistrel(X-Bow).

I'm not looking for a motorised model, just a model I can glue together and have as a static display.

Many thanks indeed.

Hi Thorleif,I was browsing today.....try rcscalemodel.com.Then, in the lefthand column scroll to R/C tugboats and rescue boats and then click on Salvirile, she maybe just upi you're street. The models you have shown on this thread are working builders models at ITS in Rotterdam, I was there and made a couple of them!I have just finished an AHTS for Siem Offshore, their new 491 CD design for 2009 launch, see siemoffshore.com click on fleet, and the TBN327.Anymore info please contact me.

Thanks for that, I'll go and have a look :-) .

I just love those specially built/commissioned models but doubt that they're very expensive!.  That model of the Bourbon Orca is just beautiful.

Thanks indeed for the offer :-)  but I'm afraid I can barely cut a piece of wood straight never mind build a model!.  What I need is a simple plastic glue together kit.

Thanks again though.
