Queen Mary - Murder Scene

Hi All

Found this piece on the Mirror News Site @ http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/top-stories/2008/10/29/worker-kills-lover-onboard-queen-mary-2-cruise-ship-115875-20849569/

Wonder if this is the first murder on the QM?

'Worker kills lover onboard Queen Mary 2 cruise ship

29/10/2008

A crewman aboard the luxury British cruise liner Queen Mary 2 was arrested last night after strangling his girlfriend in his cabin.

Police said the victim, 32, was his boss and had ended the relationship. "He was drunk and didn't like what he heard," they said. The liner, in Hamburg, Germany, for repairs, is now a crime scene.

A post-mortem will be held on the victim, who is from the Philippines, today while her suspected Filipino killer, 38, appears in court.'

Regards

What a ridiculous example of poorest journalism !
Unable to translate correctly from German into English this shows clearly what we have to think of newspapers today.
A purely domestic problem on board within a relationship with alcohol involved resulted in a small fight that made the front page of newspapers.
That
'Wish I didn't know now, what I didn't know then'

I agree with Bootsmann.
It's disgusting what the Mirror made of this! :-x
(Though we've got enough examples of bad journalism over here, too!)

No one was killed on board QM2 and the supposed "killer" has left prison already.

Best regards
Jens

In the German newspaper it sounded more like Miss Ming (that's what she's called over here) was trying to avoid the noose in the library... :-o
