MSC Jasmine is now heading back to Montreal harbor!
Local press mentions that the MSC SABRINA'S salvage operation will resume with tow-out when water levels raise by themselves!
Which in any event could be soon! They mention Friday or Saturday
Spring tides, theoretical calculations, might bring next Saturday 1.3 ft additional flotation in Three-Rivers ( several containers may be a hundred depending on Sabrina's TPI curves). Also a forecast of warming weather,  melting this year record snow falls, and rain next Thursday might contribute significantly!!

On shipplotter I see as i type this 10,20h april 4th 2008, MSC SABRINA towed  out of the mud bank in Three-River  by five OCEAN GROUP TUGS!
 Sorry shipspotting friends, no photo!
I couldn't be there due to other  family comittements!
Revised info at 11,15h ! Sabrina's still stuck in the mud!
Tugs are working and not sure but i think from (looking at Trois-Rivieres Harbor web cam) smoke stack  Sabrinas engines  are on reverse by  short periods !
I question the  engine cooling  system exposure intake in that mud!
Jean!

Yeah your right cap't Hadock, was cool to look at. Tug involved were, one of the Rusby class tug, Intrepid or Jupiter, Ocean Bravo, Duga and Ocean Delta.  Sad to see that this salvage is over:(

Thanks for all the report!

I already know about that  normal long standing practice on the ST-Lawrence!
Strum boxes otherwise gets clogged with mushy ice in winter!

But I tought then that the ship had to be  completely light!
I guess  some ballast was required to trim her by the stern!
She  was  stuck and the tugs pivoted on her bottom about 1/3 lenght  right before  pulling her out!
