Very nice pictures there, I see the crowds were swarming all around Sydney, especially the Opera House!

Aren't helicopters a magnificient aid to photography!

I counted 14 following the course of Queen Victoria on her way from Circular Quay towards the Heads.

Your link is also another example of why I consider the BBC News site to be perhaps the best source of world wide news.

Hi,

very nice find Steve.
It's incredible how many people come to see these two ships.
Most people I know just say I'm crazy for being interested in ships :-(

Ha! I know what you mean Cedric. People say the same thing to me, yet whenever there is a significant cruise ship movement in or out of Southampton the shorelines and vantage-points are heaving with 'fair weather' ship-spotters!

it's the same here in Zeebrugge, although the numbers are probably a bit less here  :-D
Quite a lot of people stood on watch to see the QE2 leave in october although it was freezing, but it must be said, it was worth it as you can see from this picture:
