Iran Threatens US Warships

The BBC is reporting that 3 US Warships almost opened fire on Iranian speedboats which had threatened to blow them up at the weekend.

The warships concerned were cruiser USS Port Royal, destroyer USS Hopper and frigate USS Ingraham.

An incredible story and I'm amazed that the US Navy didn't react more strongly given the provocation. Of course as usual in these situations we only hear the story from one side  :-o
