NEWFOUNDLAND FERRY

Has any one out there any knowledge on the new ferry for Newfoundland.I heard last night from my Brother it was coming form some where overseas.Also is there one of the others going out of service or is there going to be 3 running?

Hi Jimmy,

Marine Atlantic has chartered the Superfast IX, and in the name the ship contest, her new name in the Atlantic Vision. she is due to arrive in November last I heard.
I think the ferry she is replacing is the Atlantic Freighter. The new ferry is longer and faster then the Caribou and Smallwood.
