On Thursday evening the ferry Flash caught fire just after leaving the port of Capri heading for Ischia.
The ferry was able to return to Capri. More than 130 passengers were onboard.
I saw some dramatic pictures on German TV as people escaped the smoke filled ferry. Nobody was seriosly injured.
Later Flash (now engulfed in flames) was towed away from the harbour, but not before at least to other boats had caught fire.
Maybe not a great story, but since there is a picture of the boat on shipspotting, I decided to bring it.
