Jo Tankers, the Bergen-based chemical carrier operator, has signed a deal to carry mineral drinking water from Norway to the US.
The shipowner has reached the agreement with Isbre, the company that has a 99-year lease on a glacial spring in the Hardanger Fjord, reputed to produce the purest water in the world.
The water will be loaded at a purpose-built terminal in the fjord on the Norwegian west coast and discharged into storage tanks at Isbre
