Chemical tanker adrift outside east Africa (bow favour)

The chemicaltanker "bow favour" is adrift at the seychelles. She is on the way to south africa, loaded. Tugs are on their way, possibly to tug her all the way. Will update.

News says that Bow Favour is now beeing towed safely, and is underway to Arabian gulf (Odfjells homepage). Wonder what really happened to her engine?

She is under tow to Durban for offloading.
and main reason for engine break down is overspeed.

The crankshaft has slipped (twisted) in four places. Three of those connections are damaged beyond repair. It will be replaced.
