M/V Astoria crewman killed in lifeboat drill
« on: April 05, 2007, 05:43:38 PM »
Cruise ship M/V Astoria, 18,591 T, blt 1981, (formerly Arkona, Astor) suffered a fatal accident during a lifeboat drill today in Corfu.  The ship is operated by Transocean Tours of Bremen in Germany.  Initial reports say one crewman was killed and several injured when a cable failed during a lifeboat drill, causing one end of the lifeboat to fall.
