Who remembers the tug Silex? She was based at Esso Fawley for some time then went off to Italy around the start of this year and Tenax came to Fawley to take her place.
Silex returned to Fawley this week and was here for three days. It looked quite odd to see three tugs moored there instead of the usual two.
Tonight she has sailed for Haugesund; at 23:10 BST she was anout 30 miles S.E. of Portsmouth, joining the East bound traffic through the channel.
Does anyone have any news or gossip etc re where she is ultimately going? Is she going to be stationed at Haugesund or is she going there for repairs/refit etc?

She will go into the norwegian tug spot market and she will be reflagged to Nor register, new homeport will be Haugesund
