WRECK 6 in the Red Sea
« on: May 15, 2024, 06:01:49 AM »
We continue with the sunken ships in the Red Sea.

Now we are located in Abu Shawk, Arabia Saudita.

I mark with a red arrow the ship I am interested in, it seems to be a tugboat.

For me it is a tugboat. if anyone has the name or data it would be appreciated.

Location: 20°51'56.9"N 39°21'38.0"E

Does anyone know which ship it might be?

Best regards friends!

Hello Mafioso,
On this link https://trilikemk.live/product_details/23297421.html , she is clearly a tug.
Was she towing the ferry ? Or trying to refloat her ? Mystery ...

Not that the AL BASMALLAH I, aground not far in the North, has also a small ship nearby. Not easy to say the type (perhaps tuna fishing with skiff ?).
What were doing these ships in so narrow and shallow waters ? Puzzle.

Regards,
Yvon

Look here I found a STREET VIEW from there and you can clearly see the tugboat hooked by a cable, rope to the ferry.

Look with your eyes:

If you rotate the image you can see that it is hooked to the ferry.

and if you look here it looks like a lifeboat that broke away from the ferry.

It is the same but if you rotate it you can see other things like this.
