At the end of 2015, the Turkish company Karpowership acquired the general cargo vessel.
It was converted into a Powership at Sedef Shipyard in Tuzla (Istanbul), with a generating capacity of 125 MW.

On November 13, 2016, the vessel set sail for Ambon, Indonesia, to supply electricity to the Ambon power grid for five year.

In mid-2022 it arrives at the Yalova shipyard, Turkey is upgraded.
In 2023 it is sent to Dakar, Senegal to generate or add more power.
In August 2019, Karpowership signed an LNG-to-Power contract with Senegal’s Electricity Authority (SENELEC) to deploy a Powership of 350 MW.
Karpowership is operational in Senegal since 2020 and has been supplying 20% of Senegal’s total electricity needs. Karpowership is also working with SENELEC to convert the operation into LNG-to-Power and had already deployed one of its LNG assets, KAMROL LNGT Africa to Senegal.
