I have asked IT about it, my first impression is that there may still be a problem.

EDIT: Opening the site this morning the speed was back.

I would describe it as intermittent, faster than of late sometimes, then sticky at other times.

Sorry to say, but I have not seen a normal operation for over two weeks. Still slow and the same problems with log in difficulties, always get there in the end but not a good experience.

Pretty awful here too. A tad disappointing that it's taking so long to sort out . . .

Has anyone else noticed that the "number of pics on site" banner seems to have stalled?

Yes tropic same here, we can only go with Pieter keeping us updated, it is a pain I know but we have to go with it.

Still slow for opening photos for me, sometimes over 30 secs or longer.

Update from IT

The maintenance has ironed out some issues, but the main problem has yet to be established. Most likely it is related to the database, because all error log messages link to the DB, but exactly what is the main course, has yet to be established.

This is of course frustrating not in the least for IT, but we can only accept this and hope for the best.

Working fine at the moment, quick response, opening photos/categories at about 3sec.
