I would be ok with it as long as we have a more or less defined category of what kind of art is acceptable. Art is notoriously hard to define as one men's art is another man's rubbish.

This has always been a site for ship photography.

Other sites like ShipsNostalgia and SeeTheShips for example have categories for Marine art.

Photography is a form of art. Maybe Jim thinks not just of drawings and paintings but photography that has an artistic element to it.
