Hi guys,

my account expired 20.01.2023.
But got a mail from Miramar one week before to renew my account.
I did so and I have no problem to log-in. It works.
I also ordered a CD last year but didn't receive it up to now.
I sent a mail with my postal address to clarify where they should send the CD.
I'll wait and see.

Regards
Holger

Also got a renewal email, does this keep the account open?

I feel disinclined to renew my subscription when the database is no longer being updated and while I am still waiting for the CD ROM for which I paid

I renewed my subscription a few days ago and Miramar works as normal, thanks Manfred and Holger.
Still a good reference site even if its not being updated any more.

Has anyone ordered and received a CD/ROM yet or received any communication whatsoever from Miramar?

Hi all,

I have received an update on the Miramar situation from Wendy Leahy - Rodger's stepdaughter.

Wendy has given me permission to share her message with the Ship Spotting forum:

Thanks Tobias for this update.

For me it proves all those wrong who lost their faith in any positive developments regarding Miramar.
I renewed my subscription 4 days ago, and also ordered a disc. Now with this message around, I am not in a hurry to receive the disc.

And thanks Wendy for allowing the news to be shared here.

All it needed was a little patience and understanding........it sounds like it's been a difficult period for Roger's family, but everything is well on the way to being sorted now.

I've renewed my subscription without any problems, and am just grateful that the intention is to keep the website open.

I was wondering has anyone has received a disk.
I know the Miramar site is still operational but a disk would be handy.

I have ordered one, when I renewed my subscription. As there will be nothing additional on the disc compared to what I can access now, the urgency to receive a copy is not great. In case the website stays accessible, I doubt I would ever use a disc at any time.

I received my disc. It is Microsoft Access, which I already use. It is useful in that it can be updated. I also renewed my sub to the website, which is much easier to use than the disc. However, if the website ends I have all its info at hand.

Hello Dave, I am new to shipspotting so I don't know if this an appropriate way to contact you. I am wishing to get your permission to use a photo you took of the Resurgence Express IMO5238585 at Auckland in 1977. Two years later I travelled on the ship from Melbourne to Durban, SA. It was the beginning of a two year journey through Africa during which a kept a diary that I now wish to publish. I would love to include your photo to help me illustrate the first leg of my travels. Please reply whether your answer be yes or no.
Yours sincerely David Carr, Melbourne.
PS For 6 months I traveled a kiwi from your area, Kevin McKindly Willison, maybe you know him. Lives now in Fitzroy.
