Explosion on "Front Sunda" (150.000 dwt) off Singapore
« on: June 19, 2006, 02:58:21 PM »
According to Tradewinds, there has been a serious explosion on Frontline's suezmax tanker "Front Sunda" northwest of Singapore today. The vessel was in ballast when it happened and one crew member is sadly missing.

Do anyone have any news or links about this?

Best regards

pasted from Shipinform org June 20
One crew member is missing after a cargo tank exploded and forced the master to abandon a crude carrier in ballast.

All but the single missing crew member have been recovered

from the 150,000-dwt Front Sunda (built 1992), which blew

up at 1700 Singapore time. K Line
