Atlantic Conveyor

Hi Al,
Does anyone know why the Atlantic Conveyor (currently berthed at Halifax N.S) is shown as 'off the market for container bookings' on the company website?

Just a guess - could it be that her days are numbered?

All of ACL's G3 vessel are in the process of being replaced, but she remains in their current sailing schedules. The schedules provide details of all sailing up to mid 2016. I'm wondering whether she has been booked for a single voyage charter ?

She will phase out shortly. In order to avoid canal fees on the trip to Alang, I guess the ACL Conveyor will proceed to India from the USEC via the Cape.

Yes,you're probably correct. I've just taken another look at ACL's website, and noticed that 'Atlantic Sail' is due to enter service at the end of this month.

I've just noticed she has now sailed for Liverpool.
