UASC Schedule has ULCCs BARZAN due at London Gateway on 26/2 with departure on 29/2, and AL NEFUD due 6/3 with departure on 7/3.

Pressure on a fellow Arab company from Dubai ports perhaps?

If UASC go it alone to supply London Gateway with their desired Far East calls they take a big risk.
No doubt they will look to influence others to join in a new consortium?

Only time will tell

I can see London Gateway from my house. These big Arabs are getting a bit "old hat". But mustn't grumble!

It'll be interesting to see where this one will go. From the material published in various places, it looks likely that UASC could be left out in the cold if CMA CGM have their way and collapse Ocean 3. However, trying to do the sums with the new Cosco/CSCL entity, combining them with China Cosco, it looks like one of the other consortiums might be in the market for a minority partner, so who knows - it will all become clear soon, until the next takeover and the next arguement!
