What is this on my screen?
« on: January 21, 2016, 12:33:34 AM »
In the last few weeks, when I log onto the "shipspotting" a white/blank rectangular, sometimes square, window pops up on the screen. It has a rotating thingy in the middle and it spins indicating that something is loading but noting ever actually loads. It looks like a pop up ad of sort. It just sits there, it is about 2" by 3" on the screen and obscures the photos. If I scroll down it disapeares, but reappears when I scroll up again. It is always just blank.
What is it? Does anybody else has it? How can I make it go away?
Many thanks...

Interesting you should raise subject issue. I've experienced the identical "problem" over the past couple of weeks. On one occasion the "thing" as you describe it prevented me from uploading photos as it was in the middle of my screen covering the upload panel. Haven't seen it since Monday so I "assumed" IT folks aware of the problem and fixed it....?

All is shipshape here, in Quebec. Must be your computer.

For this to have happened on virtually opposite sides of the country (New Brunswick/British Columbia) very peculiar. Too coincidental for computer to be the cause....? And as Csaba stated it only happened while on  shipspotting site.
