Valiant III

Hi Guys
I have just come off the Pacific Jewel which is a cruise ship that sailed from Brisbane, AUS to Cairns and Port Douglas.  Anyway at Brisbane I saw a small ship which I believe is a oil tanker by the name of Valient III - does any one know of any more information about her?  Does she discharge here at Brisbane or take on fuel to unload at other Australian locations?

She is local bunker supply vessel replacing a very old one,Riverside O.F.L.

Ok thanks - does that mean she runs round supplying different locations with oil?

Valiant III is a bunkering tanker which refuels from the BP terminal in Brisbane
and bunkers vessels, including most cruise ships, in the port of Brisbane only. It replaced Valiant II in 2011
which in turn replaced the older Riverside OFL in 2009. The other bunkering tanker in Brisbane is
the Bunker V which refuels from the Caltex refinery. It tends not to service the cruise
ships but does most other vessels in the port.
