Why do my pix have such a greenish bluish tint?
« on: December 27, 2014, 05:26:20 AM »
Hi all,
I have recently bought a new camera, a Nikon Cooplpix L830. My problem with it is that most of the pix have a blueish greenish tint. It is somewhat better if the ship is close but the distant background still has the that tint. If the zoom is at around its max, the entire picture looks green. I tried changing the white balance, the ISO, putting it on auto mode, the panorama mode and nothing helps, the tint is still there.
Any advice?
Thanks....

Hi csaba,

I think it is your camera's white balance that is causing the bluish-green tint. What mode is your white balance currently in?

Kind regards
Cody

It is on "auto". Please have a look at this:

The ship is good but the hill in the background is not.
Cheers...

It's just natural haze, there isn't really anything you can do about that, unfortunately. Nice photo by the way. :)
