Hi Ricardo, I can't tell you why she is currently laid up, but I do know she is operating as normal next year as we are booked on a Med Adventure cruise in May and a glitz and glamour cruise in September, both cruises on the Island Escape.
Perhaps she is at Cadiz for refit.

I'm assuming it's just a Winter lay up. Portuscale did it last year and are doing it again this year.

Best Reagards,
Damien

Hi thanks to all

Really i also think that it is in winter laid up, for Island Escape...but i ask because i need other opinions or someone that really knows about it.
The Portuscale ships, Funchal are current in laid up till 28 december. The Azores are in refit at the shipyard preparing to go for CMV in January. Lisboa and Porto are in long long long laid up...

I am not an expert, but from what I understand from time to time Thompson Cruises (who own Island Escape) lay their ships up for a while. Could possibly be for the season.

As for Porto and Lisboa, its unknown about Portos future, but Lisboa is currently being under refit, she's expected to restart service early 2015.
