Gravesend, Kent is 40 km downriver of London (about 20 minutes by high-speed train from St Pancras station or one hour from Charing Cross station. There are various good vantage points along the river front which, I am sure, one of the local spotters will be able to tell you about in due course in this thread

For those travelling any distance to Gravesend it should be noted that there are large wind turbines on the opposite bank in Tilbury docks which will affect photos taken from The Shore - unless manipulating with Photoshop, etc.
