Searching for 'Black Osprey' 1964

(1/2) > >>

longhorizon:
It occurred to me that I am on the eve of my 50th anniversary of my arrival to the United States.  We came on board a vessel (freighter) called the 'Black Osprey', operated by the Black Diamond Lines.  Sailed out of Rotterdam I believe and berthed in Brooklyn, sometime in December of 1964.  All other details essentially lost.

I'd love to find, at the least, the date and exact location (pier) of our arrival and it would be really neat to get a look at the ship's log, if it still exists.  I remember a very stormy December North Atlantic crossing...

My internet search has come up with an older vessel called the Black Osprey that was destroyed in WWII, but no doubt there's a connection given the shipping company.  The trail then fizzles; the CRWFlags website mentions someone named Neale Rosanoski who opined on the Black Diamond Lines history and apparently frequents this website.  I would be most grateful for any advice re where I might do a search for more specific information.

Thank you sincerely
