Robert McDonald:
Would appreciate information and particulars on the coast tanker UNAGANA. Photo taken by my Dad at CPC Vancouver Island in 1936.

UNACANA (LR/IMO no 5268425) 944 grt: launched 1922 as cargo ship HOPSBORG, by Rennie Ritchie & Newport, Wivenhoe, Essex, England. Completed 1927 by Otto Andersen at Wivenhoe 1927 & converted to tanker 1927-28. Re-engined by P.Smit, Jr., Rotterdam.  1929-renamed UNACANA by Santa Maria Steamship Co; 1946-BRITAMERICAN; 1959-PACIFIC TANKER; 1968-converted to dumb barge at Manila, Philippines.
