Got "Only jpg photos are allowed for upload" msg after uploading a jpg file

Its ironic, the very day I planned to post all my backlog of photos since April I cannot do it so thats a good excuse to head off to the pub for the afternoon !
I am sure the problem will be resolved very soon.

Having same problem since early this morning. Tried with different file sizes and formats; same.

Hi all,
In spite of the best efforts by everybody concerned, I regret to inform that at this time the problem still persists. Unable to upload. Always get back that annoying "JPEG format" window...
The system probably is unaware that the only photo format I use (and have always used by the way) is... JPEG!
Where's the bug?
