Following an interesting question raised by fellow spotter MattyBoy, I am now wondering: are jack-up rigs also beached for scrapping or are they landed at the scrapyard in another matter, e.g.: moved from a pontoon onto dry land or simply jacked up in front of the quayside for example?
So far, all the beached rigs I have found are semisubs or drillships...
