Possible Malware - Invitations for Java Updates
Jens Boldt:
Not the worst decision it seems that a few years ago I threw Bill Gates out the door and began a liaison with Steve Jobs ;D
No such problems with OS X 10.9.4 and Safari 7.0.5...
Kelvin Davies:
Ribfreak,
I didn't say anything about blocking ads.
And you perhaps didn't read my post too carefully.
If you are using Firefox, then get the NoScript add-on.
Most of these ads/malware are pushed at you via javascript scripts. I have "googlesyndication.com" (0n this page) and this stops virtually all of this sort of problem.
If I wanted googlesyndication to run, I can just click on the No Script options to allow it.
It doesn't matter too much which version of Firefox you are using, the important part is No Script.
Stan Laundon:
This is getting really annoying. I am sure Ship Spotting can stop this!
Jens Boldt says he has no problems with his Mac. I am running a Mac OS X 10.9.4 and Safari 7.0.5 and I have!
Stan Laundon:
I have taken your advice.
AdBlockPlus installed.
itsfoto:
Reasonable efforts to protect oneself against malware is on thing.
But maybe shipspotting.com would want to think about a reasonable code of conduct for the advertisers, same as they are ever so busy with the code of conduct for the members.
greetings
Uwe
