Marine Traffic
« on: March 31, 2014, 08:01:41 AM »
Hi Guys

Is it my system, or is Marine Traffic having problems?  It is not letting me see 'vessels track' or showing any vessels track.  This has always been available to non fee paying users.  Anyone else having the same problem or has this facility now been removed from free users?

Hi Allan,

Just checked the Viktoria Viking off Aberdeen and it shows her track, also checked a few others and their tracks also show up.

I'm a non fee payer of marine traffic.

Cheers, Dan.

Hi Allan,

Vessels tracks are showing for me, but I have noticed that the site seems to have had a few glitches (and can be *really* slow at times) recently. I see they've rolled out some changes, so hopefully it's a temporary thing.

Maybe the vessels you are looking at are at anchor  ;D

Cheers, Dan.

May be an issue at your end, Allan - I can see full details on Marine Traffic on both my laptop's web browsers, Internet Explorer and Firefox, but on my desktop computer can only see vessels and tracking on Firefox, not on IE.

I'm not a subscriber on either machine . .

Hi Guys

was working on laptop (Google Chrome) now back on main computer (Firefox) and all back to normal.  Panic over.   Hope it's OK now for others who experienced the same thing.

Hi Ken

Yep, registered as a member (free of course) as soon as the new system was announced.  Its all back working now, it just seems that the course plot has come and go over the last 24 hours.
