Adding IMO Number after posting photo does not work.

(1/2) > >>

Cornelia Klier:
Hello,

I have uploaded photos of

http://www.shipspotting.com/gallery/photo.php?lid=2004087

without IMO Number because I did not find. Someone helped me, so I did, what you usually do:

You edit the photo, you get the message that the photo was successfully edited (there was no problem filling in the correct IMO-Number) and when it is done - the number does not show up and the system did not take my modification.

I never had this before, as I done this before, so I think, there is a technical problem.

Asking for help here, thank you in advance,

Cornelia

DanEarl:
Hi Corneila,

Did you copy and paste the number ?  I, as an administrator, have done this but using copy and paste I tend to find that a space occurs before the first number so it is not recognised, therefore I write the number down then edit it.

Cheers, Dan.

Phil English:
A trailing space sometimes occurs when you copy and paste. You don't need to write the number down and add it manually, just paste again, ensuring that the trailing space is deleted and the IMO box not ticked. It will work fine.

Indeed Phil
But watch out, as Dan said, for a leading blank - just deleting the blank doesn't work if the input box has already auto-deleted the last digit to compensate (don't know whether this site does that, but some do)

Phil English:
I have to say that I can't remember having a leading space and an auto-deleted last digit, David. Perhaps it happens with some browsers and not others. In any case, I hope Cornelia now has enough answers to solve her problem.
