ferries "Gardenia" and "Larkspur" sold for scrap
« on: January 25, 2014, 04:54:41 PM »
The former transeuropa-ferries "Gardenia" and "larkspur" are renamed in "Ardenia" and "Larks" and sold for scrap (probably in aliaga, turkey). Maybe someone here has more informations about it? :)

I thought either Gardenia or Larkspur was sold to an oil firm for use as an accomodation. Guess not.

Unfortunately not, Damien

The ships were sold at judicial sales to Transuropa's former bunker supplier, Oilchart International - a major creditor when Transeuropa folded.

Both ships are currently idle at Ostende and offers were being invited 'as is'. It's not surprising that they've gone to a demolition buyer.

Brgds
Phil

Never knew that.  :P Better than being left at their berths as collectors of dust
Best Regards
