Ferry Norman Trader on her way to Gdynia?
« on: May 27, 2013, 10:13:41 AM »
After spending months of Lay-Up on the River Fal in Cornwall , the RO-RO 'Norman Trader' has now been moved-under-tow by Dutch tug 'Viking' and were seen moving east in the English Channel on AIS on 27th May 2103 with the destination port being Gdynia in Poland. Has she been bought for Breaking or for further use?

Latest information suggest Stena Line will use her on their Karlskrona - Gdynia line in addition to the Stena Pioneer and Stena Vision which are reaching the limits of their capacity.

Kind regards

Proceeding rather slowly, less than 2 knots. Why would that be?

She is being towed. Having been laid-up in Falmouth for about two years, her main engines probably require considerable work before she can move under her own power again.

Kind regards

Apologies for the mistake, it is indeed Stena Spirit and Stena Vision ::). Thank you for the correction!

STENA SPIRIT: is the former Stena Scandinavica
