UK inquiry points fingers in fatal 2011 sinking
« on: June 13, 2013, 04:45:30 AM »
A REPORT into the sinking of a general cargo ship off the coast of Wales, with the loss of six lives, has concluded the vessel was not fit to sail.

The self-unloading, 3,150dwt general cargo ship Swanland laden with limestone was hit by a gale and waves up to 4m off Gwynedd on 27 November 2011. The waves snapped the hull of the ship, which was carrying quarry stone loaded at a jetty near Llanddulas.

Just two of the ship
