Timberland 2 men overboard

2 sailermen went overboard of English flagged Timberland 110 km north of Terschelling, The netherlands.
2 heli's are surching, but it's getting dark and waves of around 10mtrs. Watertemp 8/9 dergees celsius.

the NOS (www.nos.nl ) reported that 1 of the two body's was found by a resque helicoper on his way to refuel .

It happened approx. 6o miles north of Terschelling at around 16:00 hrs. A distress signal was immediately given, but helicopters were struggling to stay aloft. At the time there was a force 10 SW gale and high seas. Meanwhile one dead man was picked up and the other sighted, most likely also deceased. The search has been abandoned due to darkness and adverse weather. Further details will probably be available later on.

Search now called off.
The search for a missing crew member of the British freighter Timberland has been called off at midday Monday. The man went overboard with a colleague during storm about 100 kilometers north of Terschelling. One of the victims was found dead on Sunday and recovered. The body of the other drowning man was also traced, but could not be recovered from the North Sea. The rescue helicopter that took the first man from the water, had to fly directly to a platform because the fuel ran out.  Due to the heavy storm the helicopter could not take off and it had to remain on the platform all night. On Monday morning the helicopter recommenced the search for the second victim, reported the Coastguard Centre. The missing man has not been detected. After consultation with all stakeholders is decided to discontinue the search.  A coastguard aircraft will still fly several times over the area on Monday afternoon.
