There are some nice photos & diagrams of Newport docks in a book called "The Portishead Coal Boats " by Michael T Winter. pages 103/4/5.

Do you mean you want to take your own photographs in the docks? If so, that will be virtually impossible. There is no public access and no viewing points for photography.

Or do you mean you want to see photographs taken in the docks? In addition to 'The Portishead Coal Boats', I can recommend 'Coasters of South Wales'.

Hi, Rexroth is correct, there is no way to take photo's on the docks. But, the only obvious spot to see ships entering and leaving the docks is from the West Usk Lighthouse, I frequently see anglers there so there must be public access.
