One Month of Traffic at the Port of Halifax

What do you do with all the data you collect from an AIS Reciver? Show a months worth of Traffic at once!

The map was generated from the logs from Shipplotter. All the underway entries were collected, and imported as points to Arcgis. They were then converted to tracks, and applied to a basemap.

The plan is to do this with a full year of traffic, which is aproximately 1.2gb of data.
