When visiting Cape Town in June I noticed the tanker E Whale anchored in Table Bay, having been there since May 5th. Today noticed on Marine Traffic she is still in the same spot. Does anyone know if she is just laid-up there, waiting for better times, or if there is any other reason for her being anchored there for so long?

E Whale is still in Table Bay (Dec 2013). Has now been there for nearly 19 months. Vessel is under arrest as a result of owed harbour dues in a number of ports. Taiwanese owners not paying and crew still on ship (haven't been paid since May 2012). Seamans' charity providing regular supply runs. At GRT172,000 one of the biggest vessels in the Bay, and now a regular feature in local newspapers.
