Vessel ran aground last year on scatarie Island... being towed to turkey for scrap... What's up with her now?

Last I heard was that she's in very poor shape, bottom gone and most of one side collapsed. Also the Ship Breaker in Port Colborne Ontario has an agreement to remove the wreck sometime this year.

Thank You, looks like it'll take some time before she is off the rock.

I know I posted this before but didn't get any replies, but does anyone have a photo of the tug with the Canadian Minder going out the St. Lawrence? The reason I'm asking is because I do not think they were using an anchor chain towing bridle as usual and that is probably why the tow line broke. I do remember seeing a photo of the 2 ships and there was no "bridle" visible at that time.
Just speculating as to why she broke free, even though the answer probably isn't worth a hill of beans.!! ;D

Thanks you for the picture. Looks like there was no "anchor chain towing bridle". Had to imagine them towing that distance without one. Looks like a single point line, wonder if that's why she broke away? :)
