Our very own Costa Concordia

[Deep Blue]

Some aspects of this accident in the St. Lawrence River in 1999 seem very similar to the recent trajedy - except the final outcome of course. But, it could easily have been just as bad had the damage been amidships like the Costa Concordia, instead of astern.
