Hi Bob

Its probably Carnival getting in early to pre-empt  competition.  See the To Be Advised for some vessel names.

I was interested to note that the new "Home Port ships" terminal at White Bay 5 is scheduled for use in March 2013.   Which also gives an indication of the expected progress of the huge Barangaroo development of the old container ship wharves where there is currently a tent city terminal.

The Arrival Parade takes place on Wednesday, 25 July 2012 when an entire flotilla of around 20 Tall Ships will sail in convoy into London to inaugurate the spectacular maritime event Sail Royal Greenwich 2012.
For the impressive parade the Tall Ships will gather in the Thames estuary in Gravesend, Tilbury before sailing into Greenwich.

sorry the whole description is only in german !!! I think nowadays it should be in english as well and due to the fact that Danmark is around the corner also in danish but.......

But somehow "ship is schiff" and so it should be possible to see the sailing ships which are part of this event.

The famous "Dampf Rundum" one of the biggest event for steamships in Europe will be held July 2013

To celebrate the Queens Jubilee Cunard will be hosting all three queens in Southampton on the 5th June 2012, they will arrive between 07.00 and 07.30 and leave later in the evening together down Southampton Water with a fireworks display, during the day the Red Arrows will do a salute over the Port of Southampton and the three Cunarders Queen Elizabeth, Queen Victoria and the Queen Mary 2.

Local boat trips by Red Funnel and Blue Funnel Cruiese are on sale for the arrivals of the three queens as well as the departures with the fireworks.

P&O 7 ship celebrations in July also have similar boat trips on sale.
