In the evening of 05.12.2005 the container feeder vessel ARCTIC FOX and the freighter MARITIME LADY collided. MARITIME LADY capsized and began to drift downstream river Elbe. Seven crew members were rescued.
MARITIME LADY was on her way downstream river Elbe when ARCTIC FOX left Kiel Canal at Brunsbüttel bound for Hamburg. After the collision a third vessel rammed the drifting MARITIME LADY and went aground. In the meantime the third vessel was refloated. There is no name of the third vessel available at the moment.

Bad luck for the Mairitime Lady. She was only re-named on the same day (according to equasis). She is the former Sea Ems.

Correction: The first vessel was ARCTIC OCEAN not ARCTIC FOX. Wrong information of local radio station.

Hello Karbine!

I fear that our newspaper had this photo only for one day on their site. Here I found another site with even better informations. But I can't say how long this story inclusive photos will stay there. Try this one

http://www1.ndr.de/ndr_pages_std/0,2570,OID2072410,00.html

It's a mess! I tried this one I got the message "Side not found". But no problem. Click on the button "REGIONAL" and a side opens where you can see the article. Click on the photo and you'll get the whole story.
