Dorra due from Rotterdam around 9th August, assuming berth 5 is ready, not sure if she can fit on berth 4

Have not heard of any, but you never know! They tend to appear like buses. Will let you know if any appear in the pipeline.

Looks like there is a race to get to Fawley between the VLCC Dorra & large tanker Elisabeth Knutsen.

Southampton VTS reliable as ever shows both due for Esso no.5 AM tomorrow (10th), on checking AIS their position they are within a few nautical miles of each other as follows:

Dorra    Latitude    N 51

Trust me Elizabeth Knutsen is due to berth first.

Elizabeth Knutsen tomorrow 0930 berth 5, hopefully all being well followed by Kapitan Gotsky. Also Ocean Explorer to berth next day or so

Hi Spanner

Can you confirm Kapitan Gotskiy has come in from Murmansk rather than North Sea Oil Field as Soton VTS state.

Hello Dr. Ryszka-Onions according to AIS Rotterdam was her last port so I presume she loaded there for Fawley.

Hi Ian

Very unlikely, crude tankers do not load at Rotterdam for Fawley, although VLCC's like Dorra do partially offload there first.  Kapitan Gotskiy was around Murmansk around 10 days ago.  I believe she came direct to Nab Anchorage from there, she was in the Barends Sea on 3rd August, then the Norwegian Sea then the North Sea down the Channel to Nab Anchorage.  She was last in Rotterdam in July according to Marine Traffic, but not in the last week or so.

Kapitan Gotsky came from Murmansk, prospects at moment are to berth Saturday 13th mid morning with the Dorra to berth Sunday evening. But subject to change.
