good afternoon ,

first of all , i wish you a happy new year .
I'm rather new on this forum , i'm mostly used with "ship nostalgia" site .
i'm also happy to see that at least , people know about the "DONAI" ; my father is retired from french merchant navy ( Messageries Maritimes now turned into CMA CGM ) ; he was an apprentice in 1964 ...all crew on board the ships he sailed on ( "yarra " "Tigre" Indus" ) told him : never go on this ship ! ..because of the nightmare due to his main engine , a two stroke , double acting MAN low speed engine .A troublesome engine , the ship expereinced several scavening manifold fires ,as well as many stoopages at sea to change pistons rods ..

i've been looking for any details regarding this ship for years , i've got drawings of this MAN engine , but nothing of the ship itself .

if this is still available , may i ask you to send me some draings ?

thanks by advance for help and answer .

my best regards ,

.
