Which Sub - Detective work required?
« on: November 14, 2010, 05:56:04 PM »
I saw HMS Torbay this weekend and it reminded me of a Submarine I saw in the inner sound of Skye in 2008. It would have been on or around 17/04/08.

I got two rubbish photos.

It's a big ask, but can anyone tell me the name and class of the Submarine?

Its one of the RN's T class (Trafalgar) - as to which one as RN subs don't carry pennant numbers thats anyones guess.
Originally a class of 7, Trafalgar was retired in 2009 leaving Turbulent, Tireless, Torbay, Trenchant, Tirless & Triumph, so as your  photo is 2008 it could be of any of the original 7.
Any contributions both Naval and civil are welcomed for my site http://aviationandmaritimeimages.smugmug.com/
