Hi

The world's largest cruise ship today left Finland for its new home port in the United States.

Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd's brand new ship 'Allure of the Seas' set sail for Florida from the Finish shipyards in Turku.

The 361-metre long vessel can accommodate more than 6,000 passengers and a crew of 2,000.

Here is the vidoe!

Many thanks for info, re Allure of the Seas IMO: 9383948.  Does anybody out there know,or is able to find out, the approximate time of passing Dover en passage to America.  I ask as I was privileged to see her sister ship Oasis of the Seas pass Dover. I hope it's daytime. Rgds jw

Yes 6000............. Madness + 2000 crew?? what if there was a fire aboard and everyone had to evacuate the ship?? Pure madness and it would be hell!! 2000 people is enough really!!

Her home port is Nassau in the Bahamas, and not in the United States. The costs for her flying the U.S. flag would probably ruin the owner bankrupt.
