Thanks for that, yes still interested and will try and track her to her destination be it Singapore or Vietnam. Checked today but her position is 2 days old therefore and I doubt whether I will get another check until she reaches the Cape area, as that seems to be the next AIS area.

Thanks JIm

I am sure they parcelled her up in order to go for special survey and dry docking in far east, as you can do it out there 35-40 % less than in Europe....

Thanks for all the info and just asking, but would it not make ecomomical sense if your destination was Singapore from Southampton to go via the Med rather than the Cape of  Good Hope which Lioness C is doing?.
As you say she is due soon both Annual and Intermediate dockings according to Class Direct which could be done in the Far East. Her last position which is 13 days old puts her off the coast of Maurtania.

Jim, Lioness C has just popped up on AIS, spotted at 18:00 GMT south west of Singapore, although she is not showing on AIS at the moment (21:15)

Just out of interest I have followed her progress since departing Southampton on the 25th June and she has arrived off Singapore today 13th August after a voyage of 50 days via the Cape of Good Hope and I think it was done without a bunkering stop. Difficult to track her all the way as she was out of AIS range for up to 14 days at a time in the South Atlantic and Indian Ocean.

Lioness C turned up in Phu My Southern Vietnam on the 19th August and continued to show on Vesseltracker until the 23rd Aug when she disappeared again. She is due a hull survey soon so just wondered if she gone into Drydock.
Does anyone have any info on Phu My which seem to receive a fair number of box ships. :-?

Phu My , pronounced Foo Me is the port to Ho Chi Minh City. Still designated a village!! it contains Phu My power plants (Statoil, BP Amoco, Tomen and Mitsui) and Fertilizer plants (Vietnam Oil & Gas Corporation (Petro Vietnam)). Also Unilever + Manulife moved their Vietnam HQ's there.
Associated new city area Phu My Hung's urban design master plan received the 1997 American Institute of Architects Urban Design Award.
