« on: June 15, 2010, 01:27:04 AM »
I got a letter from Maritime Bulletin reader, Oleg Nikitin, from m/v San Gwann board, describing collision in Durress port, Albania:

Our vessel San Gwann was moored 100 meters from Russian general cargo Ruby fore at Berth 6, Durres, Albania. On June 14 at 1630 LT general cargo Storman Asia entered port and proceeded to berth. Usually in Durres such operations are very quiet, but now we on bridge heard wild pilot

STORMAN ASIA is owned by an Italian company but is registered in Portugal with international crew. There is another heavy lift vessel named STORM which is still under Italian flag and manned with Italian crew. The vessels are not sisters, STORM is much better. From pictures I cannot see the starboard anchor let go. I hope at least the port one was given...
